And who knows? Ya might get to meet the band itself! THE OFFBEATS -- From the sunny side of California comes the band known as San Diego's Beatles. Their sounds, harmonies, and charisma make for a great night of ROCK! So if yer anywhere near one of their gigs, make a point to go! More in the next update, so stay tuned ... 
THE LLOYD THAXTON SHOW
C'mon ... if yer a real Rockaholic, yer bound to have been glued to the boob tube back around the 64th year of the 20th Century, watchin' the craziest antics this side of Washington, DC!
Uncle Lloyd (father of the infamous DAWK) not only kept us rockin' with the best bands, dances and 411 than any other teen host, but he had us rollin' with laughter in front of the telly with his off-the-wall humor (hey ... who remembers the finger people? Or Jose? Or The Kid ... or ... man, there were so many of 'em!)
SAD NOTE: On Octover 5, 2008, my friend ... my mentor ... LLOYD THAXTON, died of multiple myeloma. The Relic has tributes throughout his personal blogosphere -- and, if you remember and loved the man and his show, how about going to his blog, where his loving wife has left a message, and leave a comment remembrance of your own?To Barbara, Jennifer, the family -- even Tucker, his dog -- we wish the greatest memories of your husband and father, and the knowledge that, today, the world is prayin' for you!

Hey ... you've heard me talkin' about how good this, that or the other band is good, but ... welll, how ya gonna know unless ya check 'em out for yerself??
So here's some links to tour dates for some of your fave bands (don't worry ... I'll throw some new ones in here with each update, k?).
THE MANFREDS -- The gang from Manfred Mann have re-formed without Mann himself, and are crankin' out their old hits as well as newer material! Their show is a great mix of rock and blues -- and great to experience!
BOWZER'S ROCK-N-ROLL PARTY! -- Now, I'm directin' ya to his site, because, man, it's a party in itself! Just click on the tour links and find out when the festivities are gonna be in your area (be sure to getcher dancin' shoes on)!
"Bowzer", incidentally, was not only the bass singer for Sha Na Na, but also responsible for gettin' a load of fake "originals" offstage, returnin' the venues to the real acts!
THE SEARCHERS -- Next to the Beatles, these guys were the biggest 'pool band of the Invasion forces! Today, you've got two of the originals (John McNally, Frank Allen) along with longtime members Spencer James ("Beach Baby") and Eddie Rothe (formerly of Mud) tearin' the house up wherever they play! So, if yer in the UK, ya just gotta take in their unforgettable show!
